Parade Ring Places

Whenever a Club horse is racing, every Member is entitled to apply for a place in the racecourse parade ring.

  • A complimentary owners’ badge

Each racecourse normally provides the Club with a set number of complimentary owners’ badges for each runner. These complimentary badges normally provide free entry into the racecourse.

  • A place in the
    parade ring

Complimentary owners’ badges usually provide entry to the parade ring before the race is run, so that Members can meet the trainer or their representative, also the jockey, along with other Club Members.

  • A place in the
    winners’ enclosure

Complimentary owners’ badges usually also provide entry to the winners’ enclosure after the race has finished, if your Club runner finishes in the places.

This is a golden opportunity to meet the trainer and jockey and to listen to the final instructions on the running plans for the horse.

It's a privilege and experience that really must be tried.

Places are allocated by a random draw. It's a very simple procedure to apply. You can either apply online or by phone.

Once the time has passed, you can check if you have been awarded a parade ring place, either online or by phone.

Members may also be lucky enough to be given one of the Club's allocation of complimentary racecourse admission badges, but if not there are normally plenty of half price racecourse admission badges available for most runners.

Read what some of our Members have to say...

  • Nigel P., Oldham, says "Thank you so much for my place to see Halogen at Bangor. Great to meet other Members, and have a chat with Messrs McCain and Maguire, who were so chatty and friendly."
  • Mary M., Crowborough, says "Thank you so much for my paddock place at Goodwood. It was so exciting, and I was thrilled to be part of it all."
  • Barrie K., Bedford, says "Thank you for my paddock place at Newmarket. Andrew Balding was very informative about New Fforest's prospects for the race and also how he felt she ran. Thank you again for the place, Elite continue to provide horse racing enthusiasts with a means to enter the world of racing that would otherwise be impossible for most of us. Paddock places, stable visits, hospitality events, breeding programme and horses we can cheer on."
  • V.F., North Thoresby, says "Thank you for my complimentary place in the parade ring and then winners' enclosure at Market Rasen. It was a day I shall never forget, as it is my local racecourse and one I have happy memories of visiting with my late father, who was a member of the course for many years. Richard Johnson and Donald McCain's staff could not have been nicer and Richard told us before the race what he was going to do and carried it out exactly, including taking it up two out. Halogen looked a picture and deservedly won the best turned out prize."
  • A.Y., Cottenham, says "A big thank you for the paddock place at Newmarket, my friend (also a Member - who unbelievably won a paddock place too) and I had the most marvellous time, just a great start to the season."
