Paul Nicholls to train for Elite Racing Club
31 July 2020
Elite Racing Club is delighted to announce that Paul Nicholls has joined its impressive roster of trainers.
An eleven-time champion trainer, Paul has saddled many top-flight winners since taking out his licence in 1991, including household names such as Kauto Star, Denman, Big Buck's, Master Minded and Frodon. Unsurprisingly, his Ditcheat stables are synonymous with success and achievement in Jumps racing, both in Britain and internationally.
The Club homebred Mon Frere will join Paul later this summer in preparation for a novice-hurdling campaign this season. Mon Frere, a four-year-old son of the Derby winner Pour Moi, and out of a winning dam from the family of Camelot, was a dual winner for the Club on the Flat last season, at distances exceeding 1m 4f, and it's expected that he will start off over 2m over hurdles before possibly stepping up in distance.
The addition of Paul Nicholls and his team at Ditcheat enhances the Club's already powerful roster of trainers. Nicholls' fellow Jumps trainers to also train for the Club include the reigning champion Jumps trainer, Nicky Henderson, and Grand National-winning trainer, Donald McCain, whose stable jockey, Brian Hughes, won the jockeys' title last season.
