Harmonica runs in Rome this weekend
09 November 2018
Harmonica lines up for a Listed race at Capanelle in Rome this Sunday, 11 November, for Sir Mark Prescott and Luke Morris. The Club's homebred daughter of Affinity rested over the long, dry summer, having won at Lingfield on the all-weather in the spring. She gave Sir Mark's young apprentice Gavin Ashton his first career winner back in March, and added to her tally when winning her latest start, at Hamilton in September, under Ryan Tate.
She loved the soft ground on that occasion and defeated future winner, Pattie, by a battling 1ΒΌ lengths to win the feature race of the day at the Scottish track. Whilst we know very little about the quality of the form in Italy, she will love the 'very soft' conditions and we hope she can win or be placed, as then her pedigree will be enhanced with 'Black Type', which will increase her appeal as a broodmare.
She is from an excellent family, with older half-sister Zest was placed in Listed races, and her unraced two-year half-sister is currently in training with James Fanshawe. We would like to wish Sir Mark Prescott and Luke Morris the best of luck this weekend.
