The Donald McCain-trained Constancio recorded one of his best efforts in Club colours to date when beaten less than a length at Huntingdon this week.
Constancio was racing off a 4lb higher mark at Huntingdon than when he chalked up his third Club win at Plumpton four weeks ago, so this result surely rates as one of his best performances to date. Beaten only a neck by a progressive winner of the Club's sister company, Owners Group, Constancio was six lengths clear of the third-placed horse.
If there is still decent ground to be found before the end of the year, Donald McCain hopes to find another race for Constancio while he is in such good form.
